Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’ gets high on action!

Kabir Khan, the talented director famous for shooting at extremely dangerous and volatile locations and mostly making action films has added one more to his kitty with Phantom. The tentatively named Phantom is being produced by popular Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala with Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan in the lead. The film is based on a story written by crime writer Hussain Zaidi, which is also the script writer for the movie. Being in the production stage, the shoot for the film is still in progress, which is high on action.

Both the actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif along with director Kabir Khan were in Beirut, Lebanon recently for shooting for Phantom. An insider from the set of movie reveals, “The couple was shooting an action sequence for the film. For the scene, Saif was blooded and Katrina too was spotted with injuries and bruises. They donned a rugged look and there were blasts and gunfire around.” It seems to be a little tough for producer Sajid Nadiadwala, which is new to the action thriller genre. However, Katrina has performed several daring stunts in the past for Kabir Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ opposite Salman Khan. As per a source, the film reportedly revolves around the 26/11 terror attacks. The source adds, “After his home production, Agent Vinod (2012), Saif is again playing the role of a secret agent, with Katrina playing his love interest. This is Katrina’s second movie with Saif after ‘Race 2’ (2008). Few portions will be shot in Beirut and the unit is expected to return to India before Diwali.”

With much action and thrill from Saif and Katrina along with Kabir’s skilled direction under the production of experienced producer Sajid Nadiadwala, expectations from Phantom are rising. The movie is still in the making, but can be expected to release in 2014!
