Having played the rough and rowdy guy, who played with guns in his previous two films, actor Arjun Kapoor is now going to be featured as someone very calm and sober. His upcoming romantic film opposite newcomer Alia Bhatt, which is a screen adaptation of the book written by author Chetan Bhagat 2 States, is going to prove a wonderful project. Being co-produced by film makers Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar, 2 States is slated to release on 18th April, 2014. Based completely on Chetan’s novel with the same name, which also explains the author’s real life love story, the movie is being directed by debutant director Abhishek Varman. The best part is that the director has chosen not to tamper with the original story of the book.

Being portrayed as a very simple and common man kind of guy, Arjun Kapoor relates himself to his character in the Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar co-produced 2 States. Talking about his role in the movie, where the first time he is not playing the violent and arrogant young spoilt boy, Arjun said, “I have never played a contemporary boy before. I have been either gun-toting or guns have been around me. But this is a character that I relate to personally – he is not a geek, but when he fall in love, he becomes this very goofy guy from this very assured human being. In that sense, the love story appealed to me, the fact that I am not playing this cocky, suave guy. It is one of the closest characters to me that I have chosen. This is something I could really relate to. My family is Punjabi, so I know this stereotypical thought process exists – ‘Achha, tu Gujarati se pyaar karta hai?’ which is common.”

Sajid Nadiadwala was the one, who had liked the story of Chetan Bhagat’s 2 States and bought the rights for it, thereby deciding to make it into a film with Karan Johar!

Kick – a remake of the Telugu movie that had released in 2009 with the same name is currently becoming the topic of talk in the tinsel town. Hundreds of remakes have been made in Bollywood and will continue to be made. But, this one is special, because popular film maker Sajid Nadiadwala has written the script for this remake. Also, he is producing the film under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Sajid has finally turned director with Kick, which was his long lost dream. To make his directorial debut more special, superstar as well as his best friend Salman Khan is playing the lead in the movie. Along with him actors Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Mithun Chakraborty, and Archana Puran Singh will be seen playing important roles in the film.

Kick is going to be a superb masala entertainer, with which Sajid Nadiadwala is stepping into the shoes of the director for the first time. Talking about this venture Sajid said, “This film is going to be different. It is completely different from Salman’s films earlier. I will add my style and touch to it.” However, it still remains his debut as a director and so he needed some support. Guess who is helping the ace producer to ‘Kick’ it right? It is none other than his best buddy and lead actor Salman Khan, who is working on the scenes and shots with him before they are filmed. He has suggestions and his fruitful advices to give to Sajid in times of need. Like this, the film is kicking well towards the completion.

For now, the crew and cast of Kick is shooting in Karjat. Confirming the same Sajid Nadiadwala said, “It has been a good experience till now as a director. I have worked with Salman as a producer for quite a few films. We are having a great time, the experience is amazing.” Kick will release on 25th July, 2014!

Adding to the list of all the 2014 releases is the upcoming film ‘2 States’, which is a screen adaptation of the book written by author Chetan Bhagat with the same name. The book is based on the author’s real life love story, which he has beautifully put down in the way of a story. The story touched the heart of producer Sajid Nadiadwala convincing him to buy the rights for it. He decided to make it into a film along with producer Karan Johar. Therefore, 2 States is a movie co-produced by both of them along with the fresh direction of debutant Abhishek Varman. Actors Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor are playing the leads in this film, which is more on the romantic side. It is all about falling in love with a person, who does belong to your caste and the efforts put to convince each other’s parents for an inter-caste marriage.

Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were recently caught by the shutterbugs at a cafe during the shoot of this Sajid Nadiadwala-Karan Johar co-produced 2 States. Actually, the two were in the middle of a shot and not on a date. They looked very different from what they usually look. Describing about their avatars a source said, “While Alia was looking cute in her desi style, wearing white and pink suit with silver bangles in her hand, Arjun was looking completely different from his previous movie and was spotted wearing spectacles and carrying books in his hand.” Although, this look suited the two respectively, the shoot for the film has been wrapped up already. Arjun will be seen as Krish Malhotra, a north Indian guy, on the other hand Alia will be seen as the typical south Indian girl named Ananya Swaminathan. The story is about their love and the rocky road to marriage.

This romantically dealt 2 States, which has been co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar releases on 18th April 2014!

Now the news of Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan coming together once again for a film is not new anymore. Though they are not sharing the screen space this time like their first film Karan Arjun, they will be working for the same movie. Salman is playing the lead role for the Sajid Nadiadwala produced Kick, which is a remake of a South Indian film with the same name. Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies VFX is doing the visual effects for the same. The two actors, who are said to be enemies, will be working together, but indirectly. However, they might come face to face during some parts of the project. This seems to be good news for the film industry that the two powerful actors are joining hands over Kick.

Kick is also Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut, which comprises of Jacqueline Fernandez as well as Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the main cast along with Salman Khan. So here, Sajid seems to be playing the peacemaker after politician Baba Siddiqui, on whose Iftaar party the two Khans had shared a friendly hug. Recently, in the first episode of Koffee with Karan Salman also said, “I may not have SRK in my best friend’s list any longer; it doesn’t mean that I won’t care for him. I cherish every moment and good times spent with the “Happy New Year” actor and wouldn’t appreciate if anyone said anything bad about him in front of me. In fact, SRK was my once dear friend and I still respect him for what he is today and do not hold a grudge against him. Also, no one can beat King Khan when it comes to enacting romantic scenes.”

Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan is also very happy with this friendly gesture of both the actors. Now we are sure that Sajid Nadiadwala feels that he did no wrong by roping in Red Chillies for the visual effect of Kick!

The superstar Salman Khan has a rule that he has maintained throughout his film career. He makes sure that he takes a 15 days long break between each project he takes up. However, this time he could not keep up with this principle of his due to prior commitments. The actor had to wrap up his brother Sohail Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ along with starting shooting for his best friend and ace producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut Kick. He also has Bigg Boss 7 to his kitty, for which he is shooting simultaneously every week. It has been a year that Salman has not taken a holiday. Jai Ho has already been wrapped and the shooting for Kick is going on yet at the ND Studios in Karjat.

This versatile and suave Khan is ready to turn a year younger on the 27th of December, after which he will definitely take a long break. Confirming this, an insider said, “Yes, after wrapping up the current schedule of Kick in the last week of December, Salman will take a small holiday because he has been working constantly for several months now. After the break, he will start the promotion campaign for Jai Ho.” Salman will wrap up shooting for the Sajid Nadiadwala production Kick, which is a remake of a Telugu film before he goes for the break, following which he begins shoot for No Entry Mein Entry and Kabir Khan’s untitled next. Nevertheless, the week long holiday does not include Salman’s birthday to it.

The actor will be working on his birthday as well. Therefore, he will have to celebrate his birthday on the sets of Kick. Sajid Nadiadwala wants to make this birthday a little special for his friend. “Sajid and the entire cast and crew will bring in his birthday on the sets. They are making special arrangements for it,” added the insider!

We all like to get pampered and cared for, who does not? It is not only about getting the attention and love, but also the pampering our skin or body can get. One would think that only the women of the world wish to get the best skin treatment and one of the most expensive massages. However, this is not true. There are men as well, who love to get the rejuvenating treatments, massages, and skincare. One of such men is the very famous Indian film producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who enjoys getting pampered at a spa along with his wife Wardha Khan. The couple never misses out on any spa on their foreign trips. They head to the place together and like to enjoy some of the treatments that they find interesting and helpful for the skin and body. Well, now this common liking between the two might simply be playing an important role in their secret of a happy marriage.

Every time Wardha is traveling with her husband Sajid Nadiadwala, she heads to the spa. Talking about her past experiences over the same she says, “I had opted for the Platelet Rich Plasma or the PRP treatment, when I was in London. It is basically a composition of your blood which is injected into areas that you wish to plump up. It gives your face an amazing glow.” So now we know the secret behind Wardha and Sajid’s glowing face and skin. Also, the PRP treatment in London starts at £3,750, which is a bomb. However, for a celebrity, who is known for making big budget films individually and her wife, this would not be a big deal. After all, such treatments are much in vogue only because of the film celebrities.

Talking about her and Sajid Nadiadwala’s love for body treatments, Wardha adds, “My husband and I love to check into spas, so when we were in Dubai recently, I had the most amazing revitalizing massage at the Armani Hotel spa!”

The correct music can add soul to a plain baseless film. However, Highway is a very strong and meaningful story that goes around two people, which are opposite to each other in nature and personality. It is about the road journey that changes their life. This movie has been shot across 6 North Indian states that are different yet significant in their own way. The experiences of making this film have been put together to come up with the Highway Diaries. This time it is Kashmir that has been covered for an episode on Highway Diaries for the Sajid Nadiadwala presentation Highway. This project has been scripted by Imtiaz Ali, which is also directing and producing the film. Sajid is presenting it worldwide along with UTV Motion Pictures, who have bought the satellite rights of the movie.

According to Imtiaz, lending the correct type of music, specifically folk might work really well for Highway, which has been shot in diverse states and locations. This time it was Kashmir that is being showcased in the Highway Diaries. The video starts with Begum Jaan, the Gujari Folk Artist singing to the tunes of a Kashmiri folk song and Imtiaz patiently enjoying it. He was actually trying to choose the perfect one that would go with the scene. He wanted something that is full of soul and depicted pain that came right from the heart. The director said, “While the song should connect to the larger experience that Veera has in this film, it should still be about that time and place, about that culture of music.” We are sure that Sajid Nadiadwala is very happy to be a part of this interesting project.

Later, Imtiaz also convinced the gujari folk artist to sing the songs without the rhythm and at a slow pace. She had agreed and sung the songs again for the director, to which Imtiaz said, “Let’s do this, it is the best!” Sajid Nadiadwala presents Highway globally on 21st February, 2014!
