A lot of give and take seems to be happening between Bollywood and Tollywood. It is nothing else but the give and take of actors and actresses. Numerous Bollywood actors have moved south to try their luck at the South Indian films, while several Tollywood actors have made a mark in Bollywood. In the end, they are all part of the vast Indian cinema, which has already completed a successful 100 years of popularity. Even film producers and directors these days do not mind roping in actors from different entertainment fields, despite of their language problem. Off late, one film producer of Bollywood, who has become too obsessed with Telugu films, is Sajid Nadiadwala. He will be donning the hat of a director this year for the first time with a remake of the Telugu movie Kick with the same name. Here again, preference was a South Indian film, which he likes very much.
Another incidence that proves his love and faith in South Indian films and actors is him signing the south star Revathy for his upcoming venture 2 States. Sajid Nadiadwala will be co-producing 2 States along with Karan Johar, which debutant Abhishek Varman is directing. Actors Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are playing the lead couple, which will be featured as two people truly in love, who belong to different castes. While Arjun plays a north Indian guy, Alia will be seen as his south Indian love interest. Revathy plays Alia’s mother and the film releases on 18th April. Another movie that Sajid is producing this year is Heropanti, with which star kid Tiger Shroff is debuting opposite Kriti Sanon. For this film, the producer has roped in the South Indian actor Vikram Singh to play the role of a villain. Vikram has acted in a few Telugu movies before and Sajid finds him to be an ultimate choice for his next.
Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heopanti is slated to release on 16th May, this year!
