Sajid Nadiadwala only makes films that entertain

Sajid Nadiadwala has produced films like Judwaa, Heyy Baby, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Housefull, Housefull 2 and many more. The one thing that is common in all these films is the quotient of entertainment. He has always been associated with films that are typically called in bollywood as ‘masala entertainers’.  These movies have only and only one agenda, to entertain people. Sajid has been a movie lover since a very young age and has been going to the theatres ever since. His grandfather owned theatres in a suburban area of Mumbai and so watching movies was a favorite activity of his childhood. Phantom

He remembers going to the theatres very often. He loved the entertainer kind of movies the most. His grandfather and his father both were producers and had been associated with similar films. No wonder that Sajid Nadiadwala, a CA by education, decided to become a producer. Even though it has been 25 years in the industry, his love for movies still persists. He says that he has to watch at least one movie every single day or else his day is not complete. Sajid is taking his love for movies to the next level as he is turning director with his new production venture. Kick is the remake of a Telugu movie with the same name and has Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead.

Sajid says that he does not make serious cinema as he as a person is not serious. As an audience, he loves to watch entertaining movies and so loves making them. He also revealed that, when making a movie, he does not even focus on things like finance. When asked what budget does he decide for his films, he said the amount of money that is spent in making the film is his budget. He does not keep a fixed budget and thus his team tries very hard to keep him away from the finances. Keen to add a few more names to his list this year, Sajid Nadiadwala is excited for 2014 as he has some amazing movies like Highway, Phantom, Kick, 2 states and Heropanti lined up.
