Lead actor Alia Bhatt lends her voice for a song in her Sajid Nadiadwala presentation ‘Highway’!

Of late, many actors and actresses have started lending their voices for songs from their own films, and even music albums. A name that has been now added to the list is of newcomer Alia Bhatt. The young and very enthusiastic girl has recently sung a song for her upcoming film Highway. Highway is a road film, which has been written, directed, as well as produced by Imtiaz Ali. Film producer Sajid Nadiadwala is presenting it worldwide in association with UTV Motion Pictures. Actors Alia Bhatt and Randeep Hooda are playing the lead roles in this movie. The music of the film has been composed by A.R. Rahman, who also pushed Alia to sing a song for Highway. ‘Sooha Saha’ is a sweet lullaby, which has been sung by Alia and Zeb Bangash.

Then she learned the song and sang to me and I was pretty impressed with her natural ability too. We guided her little bit to perfect the singing. She did it twice and then we got it almost right and now it sounds great.” Sajid Nadiadwala and Imtiaz Ali are happy about the way the song has come out. The very excited Alia Bhatt added to his conversation by saying, “It was unreal. I am a bathroom singer but to have the opportunity to sing a song composed by Rahman sir was unbelievable. This film is so close to my heart not just for acting but for singing too now!” For the same, Mahesh Bhatt tweeted, “Alia sings for AR Rahman for the first time in her life. http://bit.ly/SoohaSaha  hope you guys like it!!!” Karan Johar also tweeted, “@aliaa08 my darling!!! You sing so beautifully…chalo…I atleast have one singer on my side…(wink…wink)!!!
