Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif to go underwater for Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Phantom’!

After shooting for several films on land in their respective careers, actors Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif are now gearing up to shoot their next, underwater. The two might have shot underwater earlier; however, it is their first time together in the upcoming Sajid Nadiadwala production Phantom. This movie is an action thriller based on the 26/11 terror attacks in Mumbai. The film is being directed by Kabir Khan, who has already finished shooting for the first schedule of the film in the volatile regions of Beirut, Lebanon. After being partially shot in Mumbai as well as Kashmir, Phantom is now ready to be shot underwater in Khopoli or Mulund. The exact location has not yet been finalized by Kabir or Sajid. The director has some very dangerous underwater stunts in mind for this sequence. The two actors will play secret agents from the counter terrorist side in Phantom. Anees Adenwala of Underwater Film Service has been roped in to shoot these underwater sequences. He is a certified scuba driver, who has earlier trained Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif underwater in films like Tashan and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara respectively. Confirming the news director Kabir Khan said, “Saif and Katrina, who have done similar scenes in the past, are super charged. They will need to undergo some training, but they are both skilled divers and I am confident that we will pull off these rigorous sequences which are an important part of the story.” Phantom produced under Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. is slated to hit the theatres on 2nd October this year, which will also be Gandhi Jayanti.

With Phantom, Sajid Nadiadwala is moving out of his comfort zone for the first time. The producer, who has always made commercial films, is experimenting with action and thrill this time!
