The trailer of Sajid Nadiadwala’s 2 States launched

The official trailer of the movie 2 States, starring Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor, was launched today. The story is about a couple that falls in love w2 states trailer launchhen they meet at the IIMA campus and how they face difficulties getting married due to their cultural differences. Alia plays the role of Ananya Swaminathan while Arjun’s character is called Krish Malhotra. Ananya is a Tamil Bhrahmin girl and Krish is a Punjabi lad. This movie, which is being co-producer by Sajid Nadiadwala’s banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, will release on the 18th of April 2014.

On Wednesday, Alia Bhatt post on the social networking site Twitter about her engagement. Her tweet read, “I’m getting engageddddddd !!! 😉 ” She attached a picture to this tweet which was an invitation to her engagement with Krish Malhotra. This card read, “As esteemed members of the family, you are invited to the engagement ceremony (or the ‘2 States’ movie promo launch) between Krish Malhotra (Arjun Kapoor) and Ananya Swaminathan (Alia Bhatt). Please come and bless the couple on: Feb 28, Mahurat: 12 noon, Venue: YouTube, Twitter, Facebook or generally all over the web. No gifts or flowers please. Shagun only in the form of movie tickets on wedding (film release) day.”

As promised on the card, the official trailer of this Sajid Nadiadwala film was launched at 12:00pm today. The trailer is well made and gives us a glimpse of what the movie has to offer. The chemistry between the two actors was pretty evident in the trailer. It also featured Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, Revathi, Amrita Singh and Ronit Roy. Shiv and Revathi play the South Indian parents, while Amrita and Ronit are the parents of the North Indian boy. The trailer has some funny moments that happen between the parents and also some emotional scenes between Ronit and Arjun. A dialogue from the trailer where Arjun Kapoor says, “Pyaar karte hai hum ek doosre se. Kya yeh kaafi nahi hai?” to which Alia replies, “Kabhi nahi hota,” sums up the story of this Sajid Nadiadwala movie.
